In the early days BKS Iyengar used props to assist students who came to him with physical ailments. Over time, he realized that these props could be effective teaching tools. We can use a chair to deepen awareness in all categories of asana. If you think that you are in for an easy time, you might discover that the chair can be quite a demanding teacher! All levels welcome. Backless “yoga chairs” can be borrowed from Yoga Horizons, fairly easily made at home via this recording, or made during an upcoming workshop at Yoga Horizons.
